Five star Bournemouth Sports recorded their first home win of the season in style as they look to get their season back on track following a somewhat indifferent start.
The first half saw the hosts dominate in terms of possession with Sports Keeper Monty Eldridge rarely threatened. Sports took the lead midway through the half when a James Bergin cross was finished off from close range by Sports striker Madison Wilkin.
The hosts then doubled their lead just before half time when a free kick deep inside their own half by Cameron Shaw was helped on by Striker Jack Voisey for James Bergin to score his 9th goal on the season keeping him in pole position as the DPL leading scorer to date. HT 2-0.
Into the second half and once again Sports enjoyed the majority of possession and were oozing with confidence on the ball. However they had to wait until the midway point in the half to make it 3-0 when Jack Voisey followed up a good shot from Gabriel Spennato which Shaftesbury Keeper Harry Foden could only parry into his path.
Indeed Spennato would also create Sports 4th goal of the afternoon with a perfectly weighted cross into the box which midfielder Karol Borowkski controlled superbly and finished in style. The hosts weren’t finished yet as Substitute Striker Sam Darlow scored a great individual strike inside the box following good work and run by fellow substitute Will Tuffill. FT 5-0
The win and performance mirrored what the Hosts have been accustomed too during the past two campaigns and should now give them a platform to build on and climb the table.
