Bournemouth Sports secured a 4-1 win at home to Bridport Reserves to maintain their unbeaten start to the league season which now stretches back to 21 games including those from the back end of the last campaign.
The visitors took a lead very early on in the game when the hosts were all over the place defensively enabling Stan Woodhouse to finish superbly from just outside the box past Sports keeper Luke Bardsley.
Bournemouth offered very little in the first half despite having the majority of the ball as they really struggled to create chances and opportunities. The only real chance saw a shot from Josh Moody saved by Bridport keeper Archie Kershaw. HT 0-1
Early on in the second half and against the run of play Bridport broke away and were denied superbly by Sports keeper Luke Bardsley in a one on one situation. Substitute Jack Voisey levelled in the 65th minute converting from close range inside the box following a long throw by Dan Edwards. The goal lifted the hosts who now seemed to find another gear.
Moreover just four minutes later Striker Sam Darlow fired his side ahead with a great strike from just outside the box and again on 75 minutes would grab his 14th goal of the season with a well placed shot into the corner of the goal following great play by full back Jake Perch.
Moments from time substitute Gabriel Spennato would make it 4-1 following up from a shot by James Bergin which was parried by Kershaw to make the scoreline respectable.
