Hamworthy Recreational FC Res 2- 3 Bournemouth Sports FC

Bournemouth Sports secured a fine 3-2 win against a very good, energetic & enthusiastic Hamworthy Recreational side to booster their chances of winning the Dorset Premier League title.

It was that man Sam Darlow who put the visitors ahead on 13 minutes converting a cross from winger Taylor Webb from inside the area. The hosts almost levelled on 22 minutes, but their player saw his effort go wide of the target.

Sports central defender Cameron Shaw fired his side 2-0 ahead in the 26th minute with a fine shot on the turn inside the box and into the roof of the net following a long throw by Jake Perch. Bournemouth keeper Ryan Knibbs had to be alert to keep out a good effort in the 33rd minute, but only moments later the hosts were level with a player heading home from a corner. 1-2 HT

The men from Chapel Gate increased their lead on 58 minutes when midfielder Dan Edwards hit a great lob shot from 25 yards over the goalkeeper to give his side a 3-1 lead, but from then on the hosts really came alive and had a goal disallowed in the 65th minute for a offside and saw another effort go narrowly wide of the target moments later.

The hosts then pulled one back in the 87th minute with an excellent direct free kick which was planted in the bottom corner of the goal and saw a fierce shot in the last minute sail inches over the crossbar.

Bournemouth Sports held out for the 3-2 win and are now on 68 points with 2 games remaining and just 2 points behind league leaders Dorchester Sports who have completed all their games.
