Bournemouth Sports secured their first win of 2026 with a 3-2 win against Hamworthy United Reserves at the County Ground in a competitive and entertaining game.
The first half saw very few chances or opportunities despite the men from Chapel gate having the majority of possession. Max Norris saw his header from a Luke Street cross go just over the bar early on in the half and a header from Striker Dan Hayward also went close just before half time. HT 0 0
The second half came alive, Bournemouth substitute striker Rob Howard looked lively but suffered a foot injury meaning another substitution with the impressive Billy Mcdermott coming on for his debut. Luke Street fired his side ahead on the hour mark with a great shot across Hammers keeper Jacob Deakin into the far corner before moments later Daniel Viner converted from close range from a set play to score against his former club.
The hosts fought back well and Laptin Yeung headed home a corner in the 72nd minute. Shortly afterwards the Hammers were down to 10 men when Brady Boontam received his marching orders for a second offence. Dan Viner went close with a header from a corner and moments later the hosts broke from a Bournemouth corner to level the score through Kieran Gooding.
The men from Chapel Gate responded well and striker Dan Hayward converted from close range from a corner in the 90th minute to secure the win and all 3 points.
