Bournemouth Sports FC – 8 v 2 – Hamworthy United Reserves

Chapel Gate 15.11.25

Bournemouth Sports recorded their biggest win of the season to date with a fine 8-2 performance against local side Hamworthy United Reserves.

The Chapel Gate side yet again this season over powering their opponents with their direct style of play and efficiency from set pieces.

Taylor Webb got the hosts off to a flying start in the 5th minute when played in by Captain Taylor Edwards, Webb’s powerful shot was deflected over the stranded Hammers keeper Louie Steele. Sam Bennett made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute firing home from close range following a long throw into the box by Jake Perch. The visitors pulled one back in the 26th minute when Charlie Shears finished well having been played in from a good through ball.

Bournemouth went 3-1 ahead in the 41st minute when striker Dan Hayward headed home from a Taylor Edwards corner. Bennett made it 4-1 in the 43rd minute with a carbon copy of his previous goal converting from a Jake Perch long throw. Indeed Bennett would complete a first half hat-trick when converting a penalty just before half time. 5-1

The second half had only just re-started when Sam Bennett was fouled just inside the box and this time Taylor Webb duly converted from the spot to make it 6-1. In a game Bournemouth dominated further goals from fullback Luke Street and a close range effort from player coach Joe White saw them 8-1 ahead before the Hammers got a late consolation goal by Eric Richardson to see the final score finish 8-2.

Bournemouth have now won eight out of nine games at home this season to date notching up an impressive 40 goals in the process.
