Bournemouth Sports FC 2 – 0 Poole Borough

27.08.25 Chapel Gate KO 18.30

Bournemouth Sports returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against Poole Borough.

The first half was a very scrappy affair with the visitors sitting deep and frustrating the hosts. Bournemouth took the lead early on when a cross / shot from Kian Bright hit the underside of the bar with striker Dan Hayward on hand to follow up from close range.

James Bergin, Taylor Webb & Kian Bright all went close for Sports whilst at the other end Bournemouth keeper Jakub Lewiarz was not tested. HT 1-0

Into the second half and Poole Borough grew into the game roared on by their vocal supporters and went close on a couple of occasions to equalising, but were denied by Lewiarz who is having a great start to the season since joining ironically from Poole Borough in the summer.

Bournemouth defender Max Norris did tremendously well to get in a last ditch tackle to deny Tolulope Adesoji who seemed certain to score whilst the men from Chapel Gate failed to find any rhythm or fluency to create any clear cut chances.

However the hosts would finally wrap things up late on when Tommy White headed home a Josh Kerney free kick to secure the win for Bournemouth Sports who have won all three of their games at home this season to date.

Bournemouth – Jakub Lewiarz, Jake Perch, Max Norris, Joe White, Tommy White, Taylor Edwards, Taylor Webb, Kian Bright, Dan Hayward, Tom Beckett, James Bergin

Substitutions – Josh Kerney for James Bergin (45), Danny Hansford for Dan Hayward (60), Dan Edwards for Tom Beckett (60).
