16.08.25 : 3.00pm KO. Chapel Gate.

Bournemouth Sports secured a second successive home win of the week seeing off Bridport Reserves 4-0 at Chapel Gate.
The hosts started brightly with new signing Josh Kerney going close in the 6th minute, but moments later would take the lead when Tom Beckett scored directly from a corner ! His effort clearly deceived Bridport Keeper Archie Kershaw.
Bridport came close to equalising in the 32nd minute, but their striker saw his effort go wide of the target. Meanwhile, and for the hosts, striker Dan Hayward also went close. Just before half time a Bridport player saw his 30 yard shot go narrowly high and wide. HT 1-0
Into the second half and the men from Chapel Gate took an early lead when a Josh Kerney corner was headed back across goal by Luke Street for Taylor Webb to head home.
Bournemouth would make it 3-0 in the 54th minute when a long throw from Max Norris saw central defender Tommy White head the ball against a post and Joe White followed up on the rebound to score.
Bournemouth always so dangerous from set pieces added a 4th when another long throw from Norris was again flicked on for striker Dan Hayward to volley home from inside the area. The aerial bombardment deployed by the hosts once again causing havoc for teams this season.
Tom Beckett saw his effort cleared off the line late on in the game whilst Taylor Webb also went close to increasing the lead. The men from Chapel Gate would have to settle for the 4-0 win on a hot summers afternoon in East Dorset.
