
Bournemouth Sports moved up into 2nd place in the Dorset Premier League table following a fantastic 5-0 win away from home at Bournemouth Electric in the local derby.
The men from Chapel Gate started lively and went ahead in the 4th minute when Josh Moody converted from close range following a long throw from Jake Perch into the box. Sports striker Sam Darlow saw his effort well saved by Electric keeper Max Frampton on 13 minutes, but would put his side 2-0 ahead only a minute later converting from close range inside the area following another long throw by Jake Perch.
Bournemouth very much in control of the half in terms of possession and chances created, indeed Josh Moody went close on 30 minutes when his turn and shot went just wide of the far post. Sports went 3-0 ahead just before half time when Sam Darlow hit a superb volley past Frampton from a Taylor Webb cross making it 24 goals to date for Darlow this campaign. HT 0-3
Into the second half and the visitors seem to carry on where they had left off from the first half and went 4-0 ahead two minutes into the half when a cross by Darlow was converted into his own net by an Electric defender. As the half went on Bournemouth created more chances with James Bergin, Sam Darlow and Matthew Ellis all going close to adding to the teams tally.
Bournemouth grabbed a 5th of the afternoon in the 88th minute when player coach Joe White crossed for Jamie Trimble to head home from close range completing a great afternoon for the men from Chapel Gate.
The win puts Bournemouth Sports in 2nd place on 62 points with 4 games remaining. Dorchester Sports remain top on 70 points having now played all their league games and Cobham Sports are in the 3rd place again with 4 games left, but on 60 points.
