Bournemouth Sports scored four goals again for the second time this week as they saw off Sherborne Town Reserves at Chapel Gate with a 4-1 win.
A slow start by both sides saw the hosts have the majority of possession without creating any clear cut openings. Sherborne mainly threatened from wide areas. Sports central defender Tom White headed the hosts ahead in the 38th minute following a cross into the box by Taylor Edwards.
Shortly afterwards Sports midfielder Jamie Trimble doubled his sides lead with a spectacular goal. Sherborne goalkeeper Louis Parker came off his line to clear a ball which found Trimble and from 35 yards he sent the ball back with a high shot into an empty unguarded net. HT 2-0
Into the second half and the visitors from Sherborne pulled a goal back courtesy of substitute Morgan Alexander, The goal came on the break from a Bournemouth Sports corner. The game was very open now as both sides were looking for goals and it wasn’t until the 85th minute when Sports substitute striker Max Mountford pounced on a poor back pass to fire past Parker for a 3-1 lead. In the final minute captain Taylor Edwards was fouled in the box and fired home the resulting penalty kick. FT 4-1
