21.08.24 Chapel Gate : 6.30 KO
Bournemouth Sports made it three consecutive wins at home by seeing off Poole Borough 3-0 on a windy evening at Chapel Gate.
The game struggled for any momentum in the opening exchanges with the visitors looking to play off experienced striker Connor Jevon and winger Adel Bakkai the main threats. The hosts from Bournemouth struggled to find momentum and any fluency from their passing game.
As has been evident in recent games the men from Chapel Gate relied on a set piece to go ahead. In the 41st minute a long throw from full back Max Norris was duly converted inside the box by winger James Bergin. HT 1-0
Into the second half and Sports changed formation and looked more comfortable. Keeper Ryan Knibbs didn’t have much to do as Bournemouth dominated possession for much of the half. Striker Taylor Webb would double his sides lead in the 50th minute heading home a cross from close range provided by James Bergin.
As the half went on the game became far more open and striker Jack Voisey added a 3rd for his side converting a low cross into the box from Max Norris in the 88th minute to secure the win and points.
